Caldwell college invites those students and their families who are interested in exploring the academic, athletic and social advantages of attending our four-year, liberal arts institution to attend one of our open houses or information sessions.
Throughout our tremendous growth, we have been able to maintain classes that average about 15 students, a low 13:1 student faculty ratio, and have almost 80% of our classes with 20 students or less. This allows for the personal attention from fully qualified faculty as well as strong class participation and interaction.
Approximately 80 percent of students receive some form of financial aid, which, when combined with our tuition, makes a Caldwell College education affordable for most families. Given the value of a Caldwell education and the affordability, Caldwell College is one of the best educational investments for any family.
The college has recently completed construction of a new 200-bed apartment style residence hall, which along with our other housing options allows 45% of our undergraduate students to live on our beautiful campus.
To stay healthy in mind, body and spirit, the George R. Newman Center houses a large gym with two practice basketball courts, which can be used simultaneously and a game court with retractable seating for 1,400 spectators. A running/walking track is located around the perimeter of the gym above the basketball courts. In addition, it includes meeting and activity rooms, a game room, student activities offices, a fitness center, aerobics room, locker rooms, athletic offices and our student counseling center.
The college offers 28 undergraduate majors, including combined degree programs in many helath related fields with prestigious institutions like Columbia University, New York University, Temple University, St. George’s Medical School, Rutgers University and many more. Additionally we offer dual degree programs where students can earn both an undergraduate and graduate degree in business, psychology and pastoral ministry. To supplement our strong education programs, we offer experiential learning and internship options, semester long study abroad programs and unique 3-week winter programs studying abroad.
Our students come to us from around the globe and a typical Caldwell students has SAT scores in critical reading and math between 900 and 1100, a B average, and a commitment to be participatory, active and willing to give to the community. Last year we received approximately 1,800 applications and accepted approximately 56% of those students for admission to the College. We enroll approximately 300 freshmen each fall with a total undergraduate student body of approximately 1,050. Including our graduate and adult undergraduate students, Caldwell’s student body exceeds 2,300.
The Office of Admissions encourages students to visit the campus, either at an open house, information session or through a personal visit. We look forward to seeing you on campus.
