Student shows how therapy dogs benefit learning for children in special education
Caldwell College Student Cyndy Traverso and her dog Mandy presented her course project in Dr. James Vivinetto’s Educational Practices for Students with Disabilities class. The project demonstrated how therapy dogs can be used as motivators for children who struggle with reading. Cyndy is a Caldwell College post baccalaureate student who is studying to obtain her certification as a teacher of students with disabilities in Special Education.
