CALDWELL COLLEGE AFFILIATES WITH ST. GEORGE’S UNIVERSITY MEDICAL AND VETERINARY SCHOOL

Students Can Receive Veterinarian Degree in Seven Years

Caldwell College has affiliated with St. George’s University Medical and Veterinary School in Grenada to give students an opportunity to receive their degrees in medicine or veterinary medicine in seven years, rather than the usual eight years.

Students who are accepted into the programs will finish their Caldwell College requirements within three years and then they will move on to medical school. After completion of their first year in medical school, those credits will be transferred to Caldwell College. The students will then receive their Caldwell undergraduate degrees and continue with the medical degree.

Dr. Sook Choi of the Department of Natural and Physical Sciences said this is a terrific program for well prepared and motivated high school students. “This gives our students a wonderful opportunity to pursue their career interest and at the same time save a year of study and tuition money.” She said, “This program is quite appealing and unique since New Jersey does not have any Veterinary Medical Schools.”

The program is also open to international students who wish to apply to medical school.
