Orientation Information
Orientation is designed to welcome and introduce all freshmen and their parents to Caldwell College. The role of the orientation leader is:
- to connect the incoming freshmen to other students and the College community
- to become a resource for the incoming freshmen
- to familiarize the student with the College campus grounds
The students selected for the 40-member Orientation Team will have the unique honor and rewarding opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and the potential of making new friends.
Qualifications
As part of the selection process a personal interview will be required to:
- Exhibit potential leadership skills
- Ability to maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5
- Good disciplinary standing
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse team members, students, parents and staff
- Possess flexibility, responsibility, and a willingness to assist others
- Desire to learn more about yourself and Caldwell College

- Attend and participate in Orientation (Drive-in Day) on Saturday, July 18, 2009 and/or Orientation Weekend on August 28, 29, 30 and 31, 2009.
- Promote interactions among incoming freshmen through group discussion, icebreakers, meals and all activities at orientation
- Answer students' and parents' questions on a variety of topics
- Encourage social activities among freshmen through direct involvement
- Work with Orientation staff to assist with and support all aspects of Orientation.
- Willingness to recognize that your time and talent will be used for the service of others and to enhance your life skills
Gratuity
A gift certificate to the Campus Store and/or Flex dollars will be given in recognition of your service.
