Freshman and Sophomore Students Enjoy Clash of Classes Event

Caldwell College hosted it’s first ever Clash of the Classes event April 24. The event was organized by a new committee, Second Year Experience Task Force, aimed towards helping second-year students embrace the difficult transition from freshman to sophomore year. It was exclusive to Caldwell’s freshmen and sophomore classes and included food, drink and a series of competitive games.

As one of its goals, the Committee seeks to make sophomores feel more welcome on campus and provide all students with the opportunity to meet and interact with both residents and commuters. Caldwell College Assistant Director of Residence Life Sandra Gilot said she hopes the connection to the campus will result in “an increased retention for sophomores and will socially bring together the residents and the commuters on campus.”
