Caldwell College Counseling Graduate Programs Receive CACREP Accreditation
Caldwell, NJ – January 18, 2012 – Caldwell College is pleased to announce that two of its Graduate Programs in Counseling have received accreditation from The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP).
The master’s in mental health counseling program and the master’s in school counseling program received the accreditation. CACREP is a national organization that accredits graduate programs that prepare counseling professionals including counselors, counseling supervisors and counselor educators.
For this accreditation, Caldwell was required to meet a rigorous set of institutional, administration, faculty, and curriculum standards.
"A prestigious accreditation such as this one communicates to current and potential students that the education provided in these programs has been evaluated and found to be of the highest quality,' said Sister Catherine Waters, O.P., Ph.D., coordinator of graduate programs in counseling at Caldwell.
Caldwell College offers master’s degrees in school counseling and mental health counseling, post-master's programs in school counseling services, professional counselor licensing, and school counseling specialization.
Graduates of the Caldwell College counseling programs are currently working in hospitals, community agencies, schools and in private practice. Many are currently directors and supervisors in these organizations.
