Celebrate Black History Month: Black Inventions Exhibit at College

The public is invited to The Black Inventions Exhibit (BIE) that will be traveling to Caldwell College on Friday, February 5, 2010. The touring museum and multimedia presentation pays tribute to black inventors and their contributions to science, aerospace communication, health care, agriculture, transportation and engineering. Entitled “The Awakening: Black Inventors Worldwide,” this collection includes over 150 authentic artifacts, including patent designs, personal letters, rare photographs and brief biographies of American inventors.

The BIE has been touring worldwide for 15 years. Caldwell College is one stop among 100 cities that the museum will visit throughout the United States and abroad.

The exhibit will be open to the public on Friday Feb. 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the Student Center upper lounge and dining hall on the Caldwell College campus. For more information, please contact Jenelle Woodrup, Director of Student Activities, at (973) 618-3484.
