Psychology Majors Attend National Conference
After several months of fundraising and planning, five Caldwell College Psychology majors attended the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) conference. This year's conference was held at the Westin Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA from March 6th-8th. The EPA conference is the largest psychology conference in the eastern region. At EPA, students have the opportunity to attend poster sessions and to listen to short presentations about the most current empirical projects in psychology. In addition, students can attend several workshops sponsored by Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology, regarding careers in psychology, graduate school, and the importance of research experience for graduate education. Dr. Luciane Pereira-Pasarin, Assistant Professor of Psychology, is the advisor for the Psychology Club and Psi Chi. Dr. Pereira-Pasarin presented an empirical research project titled Collaboration and Cateogory Size: Benefits on Individual Recognition at EPA.
