Media Relations, Advertising and Publications Receive Industry Awards

The Media Relations and Advertising Department and the Publications Department placed in several industry competitions this past year.

The Media Relations Department in conjunction with the Caldwell College Communication Arts Department took first and second prizes in the 2009 Garden State Journalist Association's 62nd Annual Awards Competition. The on-line video on "The Academic Support Center" took 1st place and the video "Jemima" featuring student Jemima Louis received 2nd place in the Electronic News Gathering Feature division. The videos were edited by Nick Amabile, Studio Manager in the Communication Arts Department; produced and written by Colette M. Liddy in Media Relations and Advertising; voice-over tracked by Communication Arts Professor Bob Mann and directed and supported by Chair of the Communication Arts Department John Yurko.

Linda Maher of Graphic Imagery Inc. and the Caldwell College Publications Department announced that they had received four Admissions Marketing awards. Last year, Graphic Imagery also won placements for additional Caldwell College projects to include: Admissions marketing awards for the Undergraduate Catalog (Bronze) and the 2007 Annual Report (Merit). They were also Jasper Award winners for the 2008 Calendar/Annual Report (Silver).
