MBA Business Class Takes First in International Simulation Exercise
One of the teams in Business Division Dean Dr. Bernard O'Rourke's MBA capstone class placed first last week in an overall joint competition of the international business strategy simulation exercise known as the Business Strategy Game ® by McGraw-Hill. Dr. O'Rourke's team was made up of students Scott Barlettano and Ray Vasquez.
O'Rourke's team tied with 34 others, but since there was a total of 3700 participating teams from 244 schools worldwide, that put them solidly in the top 1%.
Each week during the semester, Caldwell MBA capstone students take part in a computer-based application which simulates running a large corporation. They input decisions and compete directly with their peers at Caldwell. Their work is then compared with thousands of other teams made up of students at universities and colleges around the globe.
