Caldwell College Awards Artwork of Twelve Local High Schools at Teen Art Jam 2008
The Visceglia Gallery at Caldwell College recently recognized student artwork from area high school students at the Teen Art Jam '08. The artwork, which included still life, portraiture, assemblage, figure drawing, ceramics and photography, was judged by a panel of professional artists. Prizes included art supplies from Jerry's Art Outlet and six scholarship awards of $1000.00, should the student choose to attend Caldwell College.
From Montclair High School, First Prize winners were Margaret Daviet, Dillon Patrick, and Zoe Field. Honorable Mentions were awarded to Nicolas Levine and Hannah Rosenblum.
From West Essex Regional High School, Lauren Crooks received a First Prize award. Honorable Mention was awarded to Robin Miller.
From Montville Township High School, Jenny Eishingdrelo received First Prize.
From Boonton High School, Cathy Yang received First Prize.
From Holy Family Academy in Bayonne, Diane Creswick received Honorable Mention.
From Bayonne High School, Amir Mahmoud and Anthony Quedding received Honorable Mentions.
From Hanover Park High School, Collette Guarino received Honorable Mention.
From Saddle Brook High School, Nicholas Mezak and Corinne DiBrigida received Honorable Mentions.
From Saint Dominic Academy in Jersey City, Hannah Ado received Honorable Mention.
The Visceglia Gallery, located on Caldwell College's campus, is a multi-arts educational center, dedicated to bringing a wide range of creative, educational and culturally enriching programs to diverse audiences throughout the northern New Jersey area.
