Caldwell, N.J., April 30 , 2015 -American Sign Language Professor Sarah Greco and some of her students attended the annual ASL festival at Union County College on April 25. The Caldwell University American Sign Language program began last year and has become an increasingly popular course. In the spring Professor Greco joined the Department of Modern Languages headed by Dr. Domenic Maffei. In Professor Greco’s ASL courses students are required to attend Deaf events , meet with Deaf people and engage with the Deaf community. Students who are in both the ASL 1 and ASL II courses came to the ASL festival to support the Deaf community and learn more about its people.

American Sign Language has been officially approved as a minor at Caldwell University. “I am very impressed by my students’ enthusiasm to share their passion for the Deaf community and desire to continuously learn about ASL,” said Professor Greco.
