IN CELEBRATION OF COMMUNITY - The Inauguration of Nancy H. Blattner, Ph.D., Caldwell College’s 8th President - Nov. 6 & 7, 2009

INAUGURAL MASS

Poetry Reading:

A Lecture:

A Lecture was held on The Catholic Intellectual Tradition: Where is it Today? The guest speaker was Msgr. Richard M. Liddy, Director of the Center for Catholic Studies at Seton Hall University. A Caldwell College Faculty panel responded. An Art Exhibit and Artist Talk:

Caldwell College Visceglia Gallery Presented an Exhibit of Transform / Transmute: Investigations of Everyday Materials. Artists reconfigured everyday recyclable materials including aluminum cans, plastic bottles and bags, paper waste, and Christmas trees. On November 4th, the gallery hosted a discussion with the artists on their work and studio process. Pictured Matt Magee with his work.

Community Service:

The Caldwell College community spearheaded a food drive to benefit the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. On Thursday Nov. 5, Dr. Nancy Blattner, Caldwell College president, a group of students, faculty and staff traveled to the Food Bank to deliver the food and to donate their time to unpack and stack shelves at the Food Bank
