Assistant Women’s Track and Field Coach (part-time)

Caldwell University invites applications for a Assistant Women’s Track and Field Coach (Part-Time) (with extensive knowledge of field events) beginning Fall 2015. Reporting to the Head Coach, the Assistant Women’s Track and Field Coach is responsible for assisting with team coaching duties and student athlete management. The Assistant Coach is also responsible for directing and overseeing all activities the team participates in, while communicating and integrating the mission of the College and the philosophy of the Athletic Department within the program. Job Duties include but are not limited to, assisting with student athlete recruitment, ensuring proper maintenance of records, supplying the compliance officer with required paperwork, supporting the head coach in the coaching and managing the total intercollegiate program, scouting opponents when applicable, assisting in the coaching and supervising of all games, scrimmages, and practices, making travel arrangements, and driving vehicles if necessary.

Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, plus one to two years of effective experience required. Must have a valid driver’s license. CPR certification and the successful completion of the NCAA recruiting test will also be required after the employee has been hired. Candidates must be willing to support the Catholic Dominican, liberal arts mission of the University.

Head Men’s Tennis Coach (part-time)

Caldwell University invites applications for a Head Men’s Tennis Coach (Part-Time) beginning Fall 2015. Reporting to the Assistant VP and Director, Athletics, the Head Coach is responsible for directing, supervising and overseeing all activities of the coaching staff and team while communicating and integrating the mission of the College and the philosophy of the Athletics Department into the program. Job Duties include, but are not limited to, advising the Athletics staff and Tennis team of CACCC and NCAA rules and policies and ensuring compliance with those rules and policies, supervising all games, scrimmages and practices, recruiting student-athletes and recommending students who should receive athletic grant and scholarships, directing, supervising, and evaluating assistant coaches, working with compliance office to maintain accurate records, surveying opponents when applicable, supplying the Sports Information Director with team and individual student athlete information, preparing and submitting the annual budget, , ensuring travel arrangements, driving if necessary, overseeing the preparation, distribution, and collection of equipment inventory for the tennis program, developing and executing the team philosophy, representing the institution at meetings and conferences, and participating in various University and Athletic functions.
