WAYS TO GIVE TO CALDWELL COLLEGE
Cash Gifts (checks, money orders, or credit cards) are an easy way to contribute to the College. Cash gifts of any size, large or small, make an immediate impact on the campus.
Each year the Caldwell College Fund program conducts a phon-a-thon during which current students contact alumni, parents and friends to ask for their support by making a pledge to the Fund. Although these are considered annual pledges, a donor may make a multi-year pledge enabling him/her to consider a more significant gift.
SECURITIES OR STOCKS may be donated as an outright gift to the College or as payment on a pledge. Stock certificates may be reassigned directly to Caldwell College or may be transferred through an agent. The mean market value on the date of the transfer will determine the value of the gift for tax purposes.
MATCHING GIFTS: Today many companies encourage their employees, retirees and spouses to contribute back to the community by offering the donor the opportunity to have their gift matched. By participating in this employer-supported program, you may double or even triple your gift’s impact on the College. Check with your employer’s Human Resource/Benefit Office.
PLANNED GIVING: Gifts of real estate or stock, bequests and life income gifts each have distinct tax advantages depending upon your financial situation. The College will be happy to speak with you about a variety of gift planning vehicles and how they can help you achieve your philanthropic goals while maximizing income and/or tax benefits.
GIFTS-IN-KIND such as artwork, scientific equipment, and library materials are greatly appreciated by the College. The value is determined by the donor. Caldwell College is committed to preparing our students for meaningful roles in tomorrow’s world. Your leadership gift will help make this commitment a reality.
