Federal Pell Grant

The Pell Grant is available to undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. The grant amount is based on income, assets, family size, and the cost of education.

The Pell Grant ranges from a minimum of $400 per year to a maximum of $4,050 per year.

The Pell Grant does not have to be repaid. However, federal regulations require that students meet specific standards of satisfactory progress in order to receive federal financial assistance. Specific information regarding those standards will be detailed in each financial aid award letter. It is also available in the Office of Student Financial Services, the Undergraduate Bulletin and the Directory of Classes.

Eligible students will receive a copy of their Student Aid Report (SAR) from the U.S. Department of Education. If it is determined that you are Pell eligible, further instructions will be sent to you so that your award may be finalized.

To determine Pell Grant Status, request a duplicate SAR, or make SAR corrections call 1.800.4.Fed.Aid or go to www.fafsa.ed.gov.
