NACElink: Caldwell College now participates in NACElink. NACElink is the result of an alliance between two nonprofit associations—the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and DirectEmployers Association, Inc.—and an initial collaborating group of career centers. NACElink was launched in August 2002 with schools from across the country involved in the initial development and testing. NACElink is a national, web-based system for recruiting college students for all types of employment, e.g., full-time, part-time, internship, co-op, work-study, alumni, etc. NACElink includes three components: job-posting, resume data base, and interview scheduling. The National Employment Minority
Network, established in 1994, is a national resource organization
committed to assisting schools and organizations in the identification
and recruitment of minority students and professionals. nemnet
aspires to be the premier resource in the identification and recruitment
of minority candidates in North America. Our mission is to serve as a
resource to public and private schools [k-12], colleges and universities,
and organizations nationwide by providing them with information, resources
and access to assist them in their search for minority candidates. Requires
job seekers to set up a free membership.

New Jersey Department of Personnel (DOP): Since January 2002,
the Department of Personnel
(DOP) has been focusing on a new course of action. The DOP
is concentrating on reducing bureaucracy, generating efficiency, and improving
management of public employees throughout State and local Merit system
jurisdictions in New Jersey. DOP
was established in 1986 to replace New Jersey’s former Department
of Civil Service. The mission of the Department
of Personnel is to attract, develop and retain a high quality workforce
for State, county and municipal governments. The DOP
also maintains a partnership with management and labor to develop a fair,
efficient human resource delivery system rewarding quality, merit and
productivity.
