4 College Women was developed by Brandeis University college students
for college students everywhere. It provides a wealth of information on
health services and includes such topics as minority women's health, emotional
and mental health, safety and violence-related issues, and reproductive
health. It additionally contains a very useful health library that covers
information on a host of health-related topics.
911 Rape
This service is provided by the Rape Treatment Center at Santa Monica--UCLA
Medical Center. It gives victims a safe and confidential place to find
information and support and learn how to get help after a sexual assault.
This helpful site contains a special section for college students regarding
sexual assault concerns.
Academic
Success
If you're searching for ways to study more effectively and improve academically,
you'll appreciate this site. It provides a number of helpful tips and
strategies to become more productive and successful in your academics.
Anred
Is a nonprofit organization that provides educational information
about anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and other
less-well-known food and weight problems. It contains self-help suggestions
for people at risk, a confidential self-test, advice for friends or loved
ones who want to help, and a section devoted to recovery stories and personal
experiences. If you or someone you care about is struggling with eating
concerns, this is a valuable site.
Birthright
Birthright offers caring, non-judgmental and confidential support to women
who are distressed by an unplanned pregnancy. Services include free pregnancy
testing, medical, legal, educational, and housing referrals, maternity
and baby clothes, and emotional support. The site contains a 24-hour hotline
for women in need.
Body Positive
BodyPositive looks at ways we can feel good in the bodies we have. Learn
about the "body disparagement free zone"; resources for larger
women; and cultural issues related to body image. This site also contains
a message board for the exchange of ideas related to positive body image.

Bradley
University's Center for Wellness and Counseling
This website is a fabulous internet-based self-help library and resource
directory that offers wellness information on a broad range of topics
from anger control and arthritis to vegetarianism and violence. As well
as offering an outstanding array of topics to explore, it provides on-line
screenings for depression and manic depression, alcohol, eating disorders,
and anxiety/post-traumatic stress disorder. Please note that certain counseling
referrals only apply to students enrolled at Bradley. A definite "must-see."

A website designed specifically to meet the needs of college students,
it addresses such matters as academic problems, feeling bummed out, dealing
with loneliness, substance abuse, and a variety of other interesting topics.
Worth checking out. Also provides an on-line depression screening.

Michigan University Counseling Center
If you are seeking useful information regarding trauma and crisis
responses and our country's recent terror alerts, it is worth checking
out Central Michigan University Counseling Center's website. It also contains
a link to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and other related sites.
Experiential
Learning
There is no better time to gain employment experience and work towards
your career goals then during the college years. Link onto the Experiential
Learning Office's website to learn about great Co-op and internship opportunities,
the annual job fair, and resume and interviewing workshops which are offered
at Caldwell College.
Freedom From Fear
Were you aware that Donny Osmond struggles with social anxiety? To find
out more about anxiety and depression, click on to this website. Recent
articles include "Holiday Stress," "Male Depression: The
Silent Epidemic," and "Sometimes Laughter Can be the Best Medicine."
This site will also help you locate free mental health programs
and screenings.
Half of Us
Half of Us was launched by mtvU and the Jed Foundation to raise awareness
about the prevalence of mental health issues on college campuses and to
connect students to the appropriate resources to get help. It includes
a self-evaluator screening tool, an "Action Center," so students
can get involved in mental health awareness on their campus, "Faces,"
a collection of user-generated student photos, "Music video gifting,"
and real time polls of college student perceptions about their feelings,
behaviors and moods.
MPOWER- Musicians for Mental Health
Artists, music industry executives, mental health advocates, and youth
leaders come together to provide you with relevant mental health information
on this helpful site. Get "the 411" on your mental health by
reading about the experiences of other young people who have struggled
with mental health issues. Also check out the "pop tops" to
learn more about popular mental health topics, and see where you can turn
to for help for you or a close friend. The site even contains a "listening
booth" where you can hear the tracks of artists who promote mental
health awareness.
Project Rachel is the name of the Catholic Church's healing ministry to those who have been involved in abortion. Project Rachel operates as a network of professional counselors and priests, all trained to provide one-one-one spiritual and psychological care for those who are suffering because of an abortion. A website map will help you identify someone who can help.

Offers interactive workshops on topics such as stress and test anxiety
as well as getting along with your professor, reducing procrastination,
and time management skills. If you're interested in improving your academic
performance, this is a useful site for you.

Did you know that the Career Development Office here at Caldwell College
offers an extremely helpful career education software system that enables
you to perform a self-assessment regarding your career interests, provides
information regarding different occupations and their educational requirements,
and gives tips on how to write a resume and a cover letter, as well as
other useful career-related information? All you need is your college
login name and password you use to check your email. The rest is easy.
Something Fishy
Something Fishy was mentioned as one of "the best sites with constructive
support," for those dealing with eating disorders. The site contains
a comprehensive eating disorders treatment finder which contains listings
from over 1,800 therapists, dieticians, treatment centers and other professionals
worldwide, working to help those with Anorexia, Bulimia, Compulsive Overeating,
and Binge Eating Disorder recover.

Awareness
Were you aware that we have a Substance Awareness Office on Caldwell's
campus? If you are worried about a friend or family member's alcohol or
drug use, or have concerns about your own use, link onto this helpful
site. Familiarize yourself with the helpful services and educational materials
that the Substance Awareness Office offers. You can also view the College's
Alcohol and Drug Policy.
Ulifeline
If you're looking for answers to your mental health questions, "Go
Ask Alice!" is available 24 hours a day to respond to your questions.
This site also includes a mental health and drug information library which
contains up-to-date and accurate information about prescription drugs
and mental health matters. If you're struggling with troubling thoughts,
you can also take a self-evaluation test through the site's "Self
e-Valuator" and get some helpful insights on your state of mind.
This is a fabulous site utilized By hundreds of colleges throughout
