All candidates for graduation who plan to participate in the Commencement Ceremony are expected to wear official Caldwell College academic regalia. Each level of degree earned has symbolism that is evident in the regalia. At the bachelor’s and master’s level, the Caldwell College seal is embroidered on the gown. The master’s gown has elongated sleeves that reflect the heritage of academic scholars who would carry their books in their sleeves. The doctoral gown is black with bands of blue velvet on the sleeves. The academic hood is different for each level of degree earned as well as discipline of the degree. All graduates will be hooded on stage during the Commencement ceremony.
Regalia orders must be placed in advance. After March 15, 2014, all orders must be placed in the campus bookstore. Telephone and online orders are not available. In most cases, academic regalia will be picked up at Salute to Grads on April 24, 2014. Late orders may not be available on that date.
