The 71st Annual Commencement at Caldwell College will occur on Saturday, May 11, 2013, in the George R. Newman Center. The Commencement Ceremony and Conferring of Degrees will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Ticket-bearing guests are invited to attend the Commencement Ceremony in the Newman Center. Each graduate participating in the ceremony will receive four tickets for guests (the graduate does not need a ticket). Graduates must pick up tickets at Salute to Grads on April 25. These tickets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Tickets must be presented for admission on Commencement Day.
Guest seating in the Newman Center is designated as the bleachers and the availability of floor seats based on the size of the procession. All guests, including children, must have a ticket to enter. Doors open at approximately 11 a.m.; guests should be seated by 11:20 a.m. for the Academic Procession, and plan to remain for the entire ceremony. Caldwell College recognizes the accomplishments of our graduates and will announce the name of each ceremony participant, therefore, it is expected that guests will remain for the entire ceremony as a courtesy to all our graduates.
For guests of graduates without tickets, there are three locations for simulcast viewing of the Commencement Ceremony on May 11: The Alumni Theatre, Westervelt Lecture Hall in Werner Hall, and the Student Center Dining Hall and Cougar Den areas. Tickets are not needed for entry to these spaces which operate on a first-come first-served basis, with limited seating.
