DECIDING ON YOUR MAJOR?

  • Talk with students in different majors and professors from a variety of academic departments, your TSD Advisor, and a career counselor.
  • Consider interviewing several people that are in careers of special special interest to you.
(What do they do? Why do they like/dislike their work? What type of academic preparation and work experience was helpful to them?)
  • Choose a course that may open up new academic fields to explore.
  • Consider volunteering some of your time in an area of special interest.
  • Take a pro-active role in this important choice.
