The trio will perform music from the early 19th century through the early 21st century. Pieces include a trio by Austrian composer and pianist, Johann Nepomuk Hummel, Trois Aquarelles by the French composer and flutist Philippe Gaubert and Voices of the Rainforest by the Spanish composer and pianist Elisenda Fábregas.

The Caldwell College Division of Education will hold its third annual conference on children’s literacy, “Open Books, Open Minds III,” Friday, April 4, 2014.
Author and journalist Gayle Forman will deliver the keynote address “Emotionalism vs Intellectualism.” Author Jennifer Crawford will present “First Book” during lunch and author Christina Baker Kline will be the afternoon speaker with her presentation “Historic Fiction: Filling in the Holes.”
Additional presenters will include authors Sharon Dennis Wyeth, Roxane Orgill, M. Jerry Weiss, and many other literacy professionals.
The day will include workshops, discussions, book signings and literary prizes. Participants can earn professional development awards.
Business Division Professor Virginia Rich, J.D., M.A.T. is a guest on One-on-One with Steve Adubato to discuss how new technology is enhancing learning in the college atmosphere. Rich talks about the concept of flipped classrooms, how she uses new hardware called Aquos boards, balancing technology usage with the human interaction, ways to connect with students who are technology-saturated, and how to use the digital environment as an opening to true interaction and communication.
