Community Service
The Caldwell College Mission Statement emphasizes that “Through a curriculum and extracurricular program rooted in the Catholic humanist tradition, the College seeks to empower its students to comprehend community and global issues.”
Our department philosophy emphasizes the importance of servicing the community. As part of the Sociology of Poverty course taught by Dr. Marylee Reynolds, Caldwell College students, Nicole Welch, Michael Petrillo, and Jennifer Conte, performed community service by volunteering to help feed the homeless at Holy Trinity in West Orange, NJ.
