PHI SIGMA IOTA

Our dedicated and creative instructors and scholars share a Phi Sigma Iota is the International Foreign Language Honor Society that recognizes outstanding ability and attainment in the study and teaching of foreign languages. Caldwell College’s chapter, Kappa Chi, is open to juniors and seniors who are majoring or minoring in foreign language and who maintain a B average or higher.

The Modern Language Department faculty makes nominations in March of every year. Juniors and seniors of high achievement are selected and invited to join by a letter from the chapter advisor, Dr. Sally Jo Weber.

Our induction ceremony is held in April or early May, on a weekday afternoon. The present membership fee is $35.
