Enjoy learning about the Multiculturalism of Hawaiian tradition while
studying in Maui. The Center for Continuing Education
in conjunction with the Department of Sociology/Criminal
Justice, is sponsoring this travel experience that will run from January
3 through January 10, 2005. The course will include lectures on a variety
of topics concerning Hawaii and its culture. The experience includes tours
of The Road to Hana, Lahaina, and Kipahulu. This course can be used to
satisfy one of the following two courses – AN
225 Cultural Anthropology (core), SO 323
Sociology of Racial and Cultural Groups (sociology elective).
The TOTAL cost of the course is $ 2328 and includes 7
nights in Maui, roundtrip air on United from Newark, round trip transfers,
hotel, taxes and trip insurance for medical reasons only, three field
trips, and tuition for 3 credits. Registration begins on Monday, August
30 in the Center for Continuing Education. You must have a $200 non-refundable
deposit to secure your place.
