COST: $2200 plus tuition $428 undergrad & $525 graduate
(single room surcharge $300)

International Business (graduate and undergraduate sections) – Take an in depth look at the economy and the business practices of a small Central American Republic. Topics will include: culture (especially business), economic history and development, role of agriculture, the development of an industrial and service economy. Special focus on trade, inward investment, eco-tourism and the coffee industry.

Tropical Ecology – (undergraduate section only) Will introduce the concept of the ecosystem along with in-depth study of the physical factors governing ecosystem climate, temperature, moisture, soil, and light. Three specific ecosystems of tropical climates will be studied which include: humid tropical rainforest, the cloud forest, and the dry tropical forest.

The cost of the course is $2628 (undergraduate) OR $2725 graduate (The surcharge for a single room is an additional $300)). The all-in cost includes 8 nights in Costa Rica, roundtrip air, dedicated motorcoach (with guide), hotels, taxes and most meals, and tuition for 3 credits. Registration begins on Monday, August 30 in the Center for Continuing Education. You must have a $200 non-refundable deposit to secure your place.
