SP341 Seminar in Argentina Explores the history and
culture within the framework of Spanish Latin America. Readings and assignments
will enrich a 7-day stay in Buenos Aires which will include visits to
the main cultural and historical sites.
Satisfies foreign language core requirement.
AN225 OR SO323 Students will explore Argentine culture through walking tours of Buenos Aires neighborhoods, a visit to a Gaucho ranch, a river trip (Delta el Tigre), and a tour of La Plata, the capital city of the province of Buenos Aires. This course can be used to satisfy one of the following two courses – AN225 Cultural Anthropology (core), SO323 Sociology of Racial and Cultural Groups (sociology & criminal justice majors elective within major).
Total cost includes, roundtrip air from Newark, round trip transfers,6 nights accommodations at first class hotels, buffet breakfast daily,4 lunches, All sight seeing including entrance fees, Professional Tour Guide, Deluxe air conditioned motor coach, Hotel taxes & service charges, 1 piece of luggage porterage. Registration begins on Monday, August 28th in the Center for Continuing Education. You must have a $300 non-refundable deposit to secure your place.
