STATEMENT
OF OUTCOMES ASSESSMENT
In keeping with the mission and values for which Caldwell College stands, our students will graduate not only with a firm grasp of business principles and practices, but with an ethical sensitivity to the problems business people encounter in today’s changing environment. To support this outcome, every student is required to take Kapusinski Ethical Business Strategy as the capstone course in order to graduate. This course highlights the goal of forming students who will be aware of the ethical dimensions of business problems by giving them a methodology to assist in making solid business as well as ethical decisions in their careers. The intended result of this capstone course is to help a student become a thoughtful, ethically grounded, thoroughly knowledgeable, and reasonably articulate graduate of our business program.
Specifically, the goals of the Kapusinski Ethical Business Strategy course are:
- To improve the ethical sensitivity of students to work related challenges.
- To reinforce in students the importance of competent oral contributions.
- To provide comprehensive practice in analyzing business problems.
- To improve clarity and conciseness in writing.
- To learn about the strategic implications of e-business.
- To enhance student’s appreciation of strategic thinking as the linchpin for achieving competitive advantage and superior profit in a business.
- To validate the student’s understanding of economic institutions.
- To indicate an adequate basic knowledge of the functional areas of business.
- To reflect an understanding of the complex relationship between business, government and consumer.
