Two consecutive Fridays, April 17, 2009 and April 24, 2009
|
Autism is a serious developmental disorder that affects a person’s ability to communicate, form relationships with others, and to respond appropriately to his or her surroundings. Over 40 years of research studies have demonstrated that Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a science-based approach to teaching and learning, has helped numerous individuals with autism make major gains in social, communication, self-care, leisure, and academic skills, among others. This conference will feature presentations by nationally and internationally prominent leaders in ABA and the treatment of autism. The conference consists of twelve single-track presentations (six on each day), pertaining to current research and practice in applied behavior analysis with individuals with autism. Conference attendees will also be able to visit exhibitor booths and browse a bookstore at various times throughout the event.
