Welcome to the Caldwell College Second Year Experience!

The mission of the Second Year Experience at Caldwell College is to engage second year students in identifying and developing academic and career oriented goals and to provide opportunities to expand their engagement in the college community.

Program Goals will help second year students:
• Identify an academic major
• Explore and become aware of career opportunities
• Engage in campus life

PROGRAMS: Now is the time to get involved!

The Second Year Experience is designed to meet your needs as a second year student by creating programs that deal directly with the issues you may be facing:

We have planned a wide variety of programs to assist you in making decisions about majors and careers and in becoming involved with others.

  • Meet Your Major Day - Sophomores, come meet with your academic departments!
  • Campus Block Party – Welcome back to all students! Catch up with your old friends, make new ones, and have fun!
  • Career Week – Meet Caldwell College alumni, hear from student interns and employers, attend a Graduate School Fair, get tips on what to do with your major and more at this week of career-related activities (last week of October).
  • Spring Shadowing Program – Get out into the workplace and explore your career interests! Spend a day or a few hours shadowing a professional. Students are paired with alumni and friends of the College representing a variety of careers and industries.
  • Clash of the Classes – Enjoy an evening of fun and excitement at the Annual Clash of the Classes Event.
  • Breakfast Under the Stars – A kickoff to final exams!
