WELCOME TO THE CENTER FOR STUDENT SUCCESS (CSS)!
The Center for Student Success (CSS) is the cornerstone of Caldwell College’s commitment to educational achievement. The Center’s primary mission is to attend to the holistic needs of Caldwell college students by integrating advisement, academic support and career counseling. The Center aspires to support and empower students from matriculation to graduation and beyond.
The Center is also committed to the ongoing improvement of the quality, accessibility and consistency of the programmatic offerings and academic support services rendered to all students, regardless of their level of preparedness.
Guided by Caldwell’s core values of respect, integrity, community and excellence, the Center supports and extends the College’s mission to develop lifelong learners.
SERVICES WE PROVIDE TO OUR STUDENTS
The CSS oversees various student services and programs, including Academic Advisement for traditional undergraduates and adult students, Freshman Seminar, Freshman Connect Program, Early Warning System, Placement Testing, Tutoring/Academic Support, EOF Program, Study Abroad, and support for student athletes.
Caldwell students visit the Center for Student Success to obtain permission to:
- enroll in more than 18 credits, a course overload
- pursue an internship
- register for a tutorial
- register for an independent study
- take courses at another institution
- withdraw from a course
- finalize waivers and course substitutions
- clarify CORE and/or Major curriculum requirements along with faculty academic advisor
- plan Study Abroad opportunities
- obtain a leave of absence
- withdraw from the college and complete an exit interview
- respond to Student Outreach System
- receive words of encouragement, motivation and support.

Office Location and Hours
The Center for Student Success is located on the second floor of the Alumni Theater. Our office is open Monday thru Thursday from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
