Caldwell College Offering On-Line programs in Education, Business Administration and Criminal Justice

Caldwell College is introducing exciting new on-line programs.

On-line degree programs and courses are now available in the Graduate Education division, and in two undergraduate programs: the bachelor’s in criminal justice and bachelor’s in business administration programs.

In the Education division, on-line courses are being offered that will lead to a master’s in Educational Administration and Supervision, or a New Jersey post master’s Supervisor certification or a post-master’s principal certification. Applications are now being accepted and new courses begin March 21 and will be held for 8 week sessions. Courses are being taught by experienced professors who already teach in the on campus programs. Students have an opportunity to accelerate certification completion by taking these 8-week courses. The undergraduate programs in criminal justice and business administration begin in summer 2011. Applications are now being accepted for entrance into these programs.

“These learning options are exciting, because now Caldwell students will have the chance to learn and study on-line on ‘their time’ and still get the benefit of a quality education with outstanding professors. Students with family and work priorities will have the flexibility to manage their own learning schedules by connecting and taking classes any day of the week, any time of the day,” said Joan H. Moriarty Ed.D., Assistant Professor in the Education Division at Caldwell College.

Caldwell College has been a leader in distance learning education since 1979. Caldwell College was one of the first colleges in New Jersey to offer students the option of completing their entire education through guided independent study in the fully accredited Distance Learning Program.

Through guided independent study, students communicate with and send assignments to their professor during the semester via the learning management system Moodle along with telephone or personal visits. Complete degree programs offered through this program include:
• Accounting, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, English, Financial Economics, International Business, History, Individualized Majors, Management, Marketing, Political Science, Psychology, Social Studies, Sociology, and Theology

Online and guided independent study courses are also available to students studying on campus to provide flexible course options for busy adult students.
