Community Invited to Biennial Ecumenical Assembly at Caldwell College
The Theology and Philosophy Department at Caldwell College invites the public to its Biennial Ecumenical Assembly on Sunday April 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. Father Jack Martin of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Elizabeth, New Jersey will be honored for his ecumenical work in peace and justice. The Assembly is held in honor of the late Rev. Dr. McElwee of the First Presbyterian Church of Caldwell.
Fr. Martin is known throughout the New Jersey and New York area for his ecumenical social justice work with numerous organizations including Pax Christi and Jubilee.
The event is open to the public and will be held in the College's Alumni Theatre. There will be a light reception following. Those planning to attend should contact Dr. Eric Manchester at the Caldwell College Department of Theology and Philosophy at 973-618-3435 by Friday, April 18.
