Lecture on “Brain Injury Basics” To Be Presented at Caldwell College
The Education Division of Caldwell College and the Brain Injury Association of New Jersey’s Children & Adolescents Committee will co-sponsor “Brain Injury Basics,” the first lecture in the Jeanne Hazley Lecture Series, on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Thomas McBride, Ph.D., Pediatric Neuropsychologist, will speak on how to identify, understand, and respond to the special needs of students with brain injuries. Dr. McBride is a licensed psychologist in private practice, a pediatric neuropsychologist at Children’s Specialized Hospital, and an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
This lecture is presented free of charge and is intended for school nurses, school professionals, and parents. All attendees should RSVP to gcs@caldwell.edu or (973) 618-3203. Professional Development Hours are available through the Brain Injury Association of New Jersey for those who RSVP.
The Jeanne Hazley Lecture Series is named in honor of former Coordinator of the Caldwell College School Nurse program, Jeanne Hazley, whose passion for the school nurse profession was the driving force behind the program from 1985-2005.
