Caldwell College and Bergen Community College Sign Transfer Agreement

Dr. Paul Douillard, Academic Vice President of Caldwell College and Dr. Gary F. Porter, Academic Vice President of Bergen Community College recently signed a formal Transfer Articulation Agreement for Caldwell College’s Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Degree programs.

Students who earn an Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.) or an Associate in Science Degree (A.S.) at Bergen may transfer up to 75 credits, depending on the major, towards a Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) and satisfy the general education requirements at Caldwell College. Students will also take a total of 12 credits in Theology and Philosophy at Caldwell College. Bergen graduates who apply to Caldwell under the terms of the agreement will have the admission application fee waived.

“We are very pleased with this agreement between Caldwell College and Bergen Community and have already enrolled BCC graduates for the fall semester. Many other Bergen students expressed an interest in enrolling at Caldwell College after graduation and have met with Academic Advisors at Bergen and Caldwell to assist them with this process,” said Lisa A. DiBisceglie, Ed.D. Associate Dean Center for Graduate and Continuing Studies.

The agreement also provides for the availability of scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $16,000 for Bergen graduates who have earned grade point averages between 2.8 and 4.0. Bergen graduates who are members of Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society of the Two-year College, are eligible for additional scholarships of up to $1,000. NJSTARS II students who maintain a 3.0 grade point average are also eligible for scholarships that range from $8,000 to full tuition.
