Caldwell College honored Deluxe Corporation and Ms. Marge Curley '73 and her husband, Mr. Gary Ballerini of Verona, New Jersey with its 2008 President's Award on April 25.

Caldwell College President Sister Patrice Werner, O.P., Ph.D. presented the awards at the 33rd Annual Presidential Scholarship Gala at Mayfair Farms in West Orange, New Jersey.

"The Deluxe Corporation is being honored with the 2008 President's Award for supporting our annual scholarship events at a leadership level and for the continuous involvement of their executive administration," Sister Patrice said. Since 1954, the Deluxe Corporation Foundation has awarded more than $82 million to education, arts and human services programs and nonprofits. "Caldwell College has personally experienced their generosity, as they have been corporate benefactors for over a decade, and their leadership has been dedicated to helping make the College's signature fundraising events a success," Sister Patrice said.

"Ms. Marge Curley and Mr. Gary Ballerini are being honored with the 2008 President's Award for their generous and consistent support of Caldwell College for more than two decades. They are enthusiastic proponents of the College and have remained dedicated to its expanding mission throughout the years. They are also the donors of the beautiful Caldwell College seal which is the centerpiece of the new plaza that now joins the Newman Center and the Student Center buildings," Sister Patrice said. Ms. Curley and Mr. Ballerini served on the Caldwell College Presidential Gala Committee for seven years and are active supporters of the annual Golf Outing.

The gala black-tie evening featured a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing to the Silver Starlite Orchestra and a Silent Auction.

The event benefits the Caldwell College Scholarship Fund, which enables students in need to pursue their educational and professional goals.
