The Career Planning and Development Office at Caldwell College provides students with the tools and resources they need for lifelong career planning in an increasingly complex and global society. Career Planning and Development supports the liberal arts education at Caldwell by encouraging students to identify their skills and interests, explore academic and career paths, pursue academic internships and co-op positions, and make educated decisions regarding their post-graduate plans. To achieve these goals, Career Planning and Development offers the following services and resources:

  • Assessment of skills and interests
  • Along with academic advisors, support in the selection of major(s)
  • Resume & cover letter writing workshops/critiques
  • Online job listings (part-time and full-time) and job search resources, including a jobs database for international students
  • Oversight of academic internships and cooperative positions
  • Opportunities to meet and network with employers and alumni in a wide range of fields
  • Career panels, workshops and shadowing programs
  • Resource Library, including books and handouts on resume writing, interviewing, exploring majors and careers, and researching graduate schools
