SCHOOL NURSE CERTIFICATION
Caldwell College offers a NJ State approved programs for School Nurse Certification with a Teacher of Health Endorsement and non-instructional School Nurse Certification. Our faculty is made up of experienced school nursing and education professionals. NJ Certified School Nurses must have a current NJ RN license and a Bachelor’s Degree. If you don’t have your Bachelor’s Degree, Caldwell College can help you earn Bachelor’s and School Nurse Certification/Teacher of Health Endorsement at the same time.
At Caldwell College the School Nurse Certification with Teacher of Health Endorsement is a 40 credit program. If you have already taken required courses you can transfer those courses up to 20 credits. The program for non-instructional School Nurse Certification is 33 credits. You can transfer up to 16 credits towards your non-instructional certification.
The Bachelor’s degree program incorporates the School Nurse Certification courses into a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. The Bachelor’s Degree is 120 credits and you can transfer in up to 75 credits from your previous studies including up to 30 credits from your current RN license. You can choose a major other than Psychology but that will require additional credits.
