ADMISSION POLICYCaldwell College does not discriminate against applicants or students in programs, facilities, or scholarships on the basis of race, color, creed, age, national origin, or handicap. Responsive to the adult's quest for on-going study, creative self development and pre-professional training, the college has established flexible programming geared to meet the specific goals of students of different ages, backgrounds and interests.
HOW TO REGISTERRegistration may be made in person at The Center for Continuing Education, completing and mailing or faxing (973-618-3690) the registration form. In-person registration begins on November 12 and may be made at The Center for Continuing Education, Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Any student who has not met all obligations to the College, health form and financial payment, will not be permitted to register. For more information you can contact us at our web site contined@caldwell.edu. On-line registrations will not be accepted after January 9, 2002 (in-person/mail/fax only).
HEALTH REQUIREMENTSAll students born 1957 or later are required by NJ State law to submit documentation of immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella. If this information is not received students will not be permitted to register for classes. The completed documentation should be sent to the Caldwell College Health Office. Immunization forms may be obtained in the Health Office or The Center for Continuing Education. This does not apply to students taking ONLY External Degree courses.
FINANCIAL AIDFinancial aid is available, providing students enroll on a half-time basis (6 credits). Remember you must process the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at least six weeks prior to your intended start date. Applications are available in the Financial Aid Office Room 101 in the Administration Building. (973-618-3221)
PAYMENT PROCEDURESAdd/Drop | Withdrawal | Cancellation Policy | Refunds | Tuition & Fees Students taking External Degree courses must remit payment by January 10 in order to be included on the class roster and permitted in class. Payment during External Degree weekend will only be accepted for classes that have been added. Payment deadline for ALL students is January 10, 2002.
ADD /DROPStudents may add or drop courses within the first two class sessions. The add/drop period ends January 31. Failure to add/drop or withdraw officially by the deadlines will result in a grade of F for the course.
WITHDRAWALWithdrawals must be authorized by the instructor and advisor. The withdrawal period without a grade is February 1- March 14. During the withdrawal period between March 15 and April 18 students will receive a grade of withdraw with either a pass or fail, which indicates the instructors judgement of progress at time of withdrawal. The withdrawal period for accelerated Saturday classes is February 9 - February 16 for Session A classes, and March 31 to April 6 for Session B classes. An official WITHDRAWAL form must be completed. Not attending, even with notification to the instructor, does not constitute an official withdrawal. Students will be responsible for tuition and receive a grade of F for courses from which they do not OFFICIALLY withdraw.
CANCELLATION POLICY/ COURSE CHANGESCaldwell College reserves the right to cancel a course in which there is not sufficient enrollment, to limit registration and to change instructors when necessary.
REFUNDSIf a student files an official withdrawal or add/drop form with The Center for Continuing Education or Registrar they will be entitled to a refund according to the following schedule:

OUTCOMES ASSESSMENTBeginning with the fall 1999 semester the Colleges policy on comprehensive exams has been changed. Courses listed in this brochure that are highlighted are the capstone course requirement for that major. Please check with your advisor or college catalog if you have any questions. HOW TO FIND YOUR CLASSROOMThe first digit of your room represents the building location (1-6), and the remaining three digits represents the room number within that building.
