Placement Testing
Placement testing for incoming freshman is required in order for us to create a class schedule for the Fall 2009 semester. Students will be tested in Math, Reading Comprehension, and Computer Proficiency. The results, along with other information will be used to place you in the courses appropriate to your level of preparation. If you require any special accommodations during testing, please call Abbe Benowitz, Coordinator of Disability Services at (973) 618-3645.
The placement test is administered on a computer and space at each session is limited. Please choose TWO of the following dates: (Second choice will be assigned in the event your First choice is full)
- Saturday, May 2 at 12:45
- Wednesday, May 27 at 3:45
- Saturday, June 6 at 12:45
- Wednesday, June 10 at 3:45
- Saturday, June 20 at 12:45
- Wednesday, July 8 at 3:45
We will contact you to choose another date if your First and Second choice dates are full because testing is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registration will begin a half hour before testing in the lobby of the Student Center. The test takes anywhere from 2-3 hours and will be in an air conditioned room.
No notebooks, calculators, textbooks, dictionaries, or papers of any kind are permitted into the testing room. Also, no electronic devices of any kind are allowed in testing rooms.
